One Of The Best Spanish Tapas In London - El Pirata Of Mayfair, London

Tucked away in a quiet residential street lies El Pirata of Mayfair. The Spanish restaurant has been around for nearly a quarter of a century. From diplomats to celebrities, they’ve served them all! A slice of Madrid in the huslte and bustle of London.

For a Mayfair institution, it’s fairly inexpensive to dine here. There is also a wide variety of tapas to choose from on their menu, making it an absolute favourite for many.

Felix & I had our pick and shared an Ensalada de tomate naranja y cebolla, Buñuelos de gambas, Padron, Croquetas de jamón Ibérico, Mejillones con chorizo, Calamares a la romana, Pulpo al pirata, Tortilla, Chorizo al vino & Tabla de embutidos Ibéricos y paté.

It was such a hearty meal, I have no words for the Pulpo al pirata and Croquetas de jamón Ibérico. They were my favourite. The dishes were fuss-free and absolutely moreish. The portions were generous as well and to wrap it all up in a neat little bow, the Sangria I had washed the grease down perfectly.
